Before Your Session
What should I wear?
Choose outfits that feel comfortable and reflect your personal style. Neutral tones, soft colors, and coordinating - not matching - pieces photograph beautifully. Avoid overly busy patterns and logos, and instead, incorporate textures and layers.
Where do sessions take place?
Most portrait sessions take place at an outdoor location in the East Valley Phoenix area. When booking, you'll be able to select from available locations based on the type of session you're planning.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking as early as possible, particulary for weekends and popular seasons. Availability varies, but reaching out early gives you the best selection of dates and times.
What if I'm uncomfortable in front of the camera?
You don't need to know how to pose. I provide simple, natural direction throughout your session while allowing genuine moments and expressions to unfold. The goal is to help you feel comfortable and create photographs that feel natural to you.
How should we prepare for our session?
Make sure everyone arrives rested, fed, and ready to have fun. For younger children, a favorite snack or small comfort item can be helpful. Most importantly, come relaxed and enjoy the experience - I'll take care of the rest.

Yes! Families don't quite feel complete without our furry friends. Pets are welcome at locations where they're permitted. Let me know when booking, so we can choose a location that works well for everyone. Dogs must be well-behaved and able to be in control off the leash.

Your Photos
When will I receive my photos?
I will email you a link to access your professionally edited digital images within 4 weeks of your session.
Will my photos be edited?
Absolutely. Every delivered image is professionally edited for color, exposure, and consistency, with light retouching such as temporary blemishes and minor distractions removed when appropriate. I aim for a polished final look while maintaining a natural, authentic appearance. More extensive retouching, including body reshaping, removing permanent features such as wrinkles, or significant hair, makeup, appearance, or wardrobe changes, is available for an additional fee upon request.
Do you deliver every photo taken during our session?
Not every image taken during your session will be delivered. I often take multiple photographs of the same moment to ensure I capture the best expressions and details. I then select the strongest images to professionally edit an deliver, creating a beautiful final gallery that feels intentional and complete.
Can I print my photos?
Yes! Your high-resolution images are yours to print and enjoy. For the best color, detail, and overall quality, I recommend using a professional print lab, such as Mpix, rather than standard retail or pharmacy printing services. Consumer printers may produce noticeable differences in color, contrast, and skin tones compared with the carefully edited images you receive from me.
Can I post my photos on social media?
Absolutely! I love seeing my work shared with friends and family. When posting, please tag or credit me and include a link to my photography page when possible. I also ask that you keep the images as delivered and avoid adding filters or making edits that change the way they look.

When is payment due?
A 50% retainer is due at the time of booking to secure your session. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
Your retainer ensures that your date and time are reserved exclusively for you. One reschedule is allowed when requested as early as possible and is subject to availability. Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows forfeit the retainer.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
If weather conditions make your session unsafe or unsuitable for photography, I'll work with you to reschedule for another available date. I'll monitor conditions closely and communicate with you if a change is necessary.
